Bumblee2: Maybelline NY Mineral Power Powder Foundation

Sorry for the 2 months hiatus or so. Just been really side tracked with a lot of stuff. Not gonna get into that. Excuses aside, we are backk!. And Bumblee2 hopes to fill ur screen with updates. Not sure what Bumblee1 is doing at the moment but im thinking she will update with all the salon stuff she's been experiencing the past few (two) months.

Ok time for a review. First review for 2011

Product: Maybelline NY Mineral Power Powder Foundation
Available: Guardian, Hua Ho
Rating: 9/10
I Love love this product, its perfect if u just want a light-medium coverage, it is buildable if u want to go for full coverage. Perfect for those who already have naturally clear skin and have not much to be covered. It comes with a cute mini kabuki brush, but personally i think that the kabuki brush is a bit rough for the skin. But it's small enough to be carried anywhere so that's a plus!. The overall product is GREAT, this is actually the first mineral foundation i've ever used. So i cant compare it to other products. It evens out skin tone very well id give it an 'A'. It doesnt feel heavy, like u know the feeling like u feel that u have make up on the skin, blurghhh.

I use it after i use a moisturizer. Preferably a tinted moisturizer, because it helps even out the skin tone even more. Use the kabooki brush swirl it on the product, tapping off the excess, and in circular motions brush it on the face until u have a smooth perfect coverage (while concentrating ont he places u want more coverage) . One downside is the price i think the price, im not sure, but i just think its more expensive here in Brunei than in other countries.

Mine is actually about to run out. So... that means... gotta run to guardian by the end of the month to get some more :).

Goodluck

Bumblee2:The Face Shop Colour Nuance Intence For Cheek & Stick Eye Shadow

Product: The Face Shop Color Nuance Intense For Cheek in PK104
Price: $15?
Rating: 7/10
I Love the packaging of this particular line in face shop it doesnt look cheap BUT it doesnt put stress on the wallet, it looks kinda like Sh
u Uemura's packaging not kidding!. You should do a search on that, they look similar!.
Appearance aside time to test the product, it has an ok staying power, pigmentation is ok. Its not powdery, nor chalky if you know what i mean. But i like this one for those au naturel days, i've only tried this colour PK101.

Product: The Face Shop Stick Eye Shadow in Golden Brown & Pink
Price: $9.xx
Rate: 6/10
I like the concept of it, its a good on the go product if your like in a rush and want just some colour on your eyelids. But im not really into stick eyes shadows, or i havent really find good kind of stick eyeshadow yet (A noob at stick eyeshadows). If you are planning to buy this type of eyeshadow bear in mind it has small glitter particles. If you're one of those people that gets eye irritation easily. I suggest a normal powder foundation is right for you. But there's no harm in trying, I still don't mind the glitter particles anyways.

Thumbs up. Great for those in-a-rush -that-i-only-have-time-to-put-on-make-up-in-the-car-and-i-will-still-look-hot-no-matter-what Days =DDD

Bumblee 1: The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleansing

Product: The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes (25 wipes)
Price: BND10.90 (10% discount for members)
Description: One-step cleansing and toning to remove make-up impurities and dull skin cells. All skin types.
Rating 5/10

Hello. Thought I would try this one out since I keep stealing Bumblee2's facial wipes (Hehe sorry Bumblee2). Did not like it much. It took more than one wipe to remove the make-up off my face. Also I made the big mistake of using this to remove my eye make-up. Padih! It is convenient for one-step cleansing but as a makeup remover it's a no-no for me. It's a big disappointment since I do love Body Shop products.

Bumblee2: Foundation Review Maybelline NY Clear Smooth AQUA gel foundation

Product: Maybelline NY Clear Smooth AQUA gel foundation in 22 Natural Beige Price:12? (Available in Guardian, Most Hua Ho Department Stores)
Rating:4/10

This particular foundation is available in Guardian and most huaho department stores nationwide. Its a light foundation, perfect for everyday. The main reason behind why i purchased this foundation in the first place was that ive never tried it before and it has been on the shelves for quite a while. So i purchased it just to get it out of my system.

Although it is a light foundation, when applied a second layer, it will tend to look cakey. :s I don't want cake on my face, do you?. And i felt like my skin is not breathing.I would say that the coverage is light as it says on the shelves and i would only recommend this product for people who have skin that don't require that much coverage.

If you are willing to settle for an affordable foundation, this is the product for you, But bear in mind there are other better foundations out there. Wait for my reviews for some better ones!.

Bumblee1: St. Ives Body Polish with Collagen Elastin

Hello!

Product: St.Ives Body Polish with Collagen Elastin (8 oz)
Price: BND18.00 at Winmark
Rating: 9/10

I love this product and Bumblee2 uses this too. This is one of the best exfoliating products I have ever used. I know it says BND18.00 but when I went to the cashier, I was given a discount. Maybe they were having a sale I did not know about. I don't remember the exact reduced price but I think I was given a 10% discount (Bonus!). And it is totally worth it. It's a big tub and you only need to use a little bit of it. I use it about 2-3 times a week. So it'll last you a long time.
Believe me it made my slightly rough elbows really soft after only using it for a week. I think its the collagen doing its magic.
Plus it smells delicious!
Oh yeah and do not forget to moisturise afterwards.
Love it!

Bumblee2's Hello~~

Hello, and welcome to The Bumblees Beauty Review Blog! I am Bumblee2 :). As my "partner in crime, Bumblee1, has already mentioned, i'll be doing make up reviews, ranging from drugstore brand to high end brands and everything in between.

First off, let me start with my first review.

Product:
The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing wipes
Price: $5 - $12.90 (10% discount for members)
Rating: 10/10

20 Sheets Its less than BND$5 but if you fork up a few extra dollars you can get a pack that has 70 sheets at just BND$12.90 (Correct me if im wrong). I like the smell and it takes off make up really easily, seriously in just one wipe, and it doesnt sting!!. It will last you for about 3 months, i just recently bought a new 70 sheet pack from The Face Shop. I sooo can't live without it!. Oh, and the plastic cover prevents the tissue from drying out fast.

On the other hand the other day, like a few weeks ago, i purchased facial wipes from Etude House (They've recently opened at Times Square, yayyyy!!!). The wipes are actually the first product that ive ever purchased from etude house and a nail polish but il do that in another review.

Product: Happy Tea Time Green Tea Cleansing Wipes
Price: $4.xx
Rate: 4/10

I purchased them in a pack of 30 if im not mistaken, it was a few weeks ago so i dont remember remember anymore. I feel that the material of the tissue wipes itself is a bit rough from the Face shop ones. And it doesnt take off make up easily based on my judgement. BUT that's just my personal take on this. :D.

I would pick up a new pack of The Face Shop Herb Day wipes anyday!

'til next time, Tata~
